College Education

My college education included a wide variety disciplines and media. Although video and 3D are not commonly used in graphic design, the study of which improved my skills and capabilities. I finished my first year of college while still a senior in high school and recieved the $5000 Alford Scholarship. I graduate with honors and a 3.93 GPA. I look forward to continuing my education.

High School

I also studied web design, video production, advanced writing, music technology, and TV broadcasting while in high school. 		   
     
     

Print Design

  
       
       
    A working understanding of InDesign CS2, typography, CMYK gamut, as well as other aspects affecting print design such as folds, bleeds, chokes and spreads, spot color, etc.    
     
   

HOPES newletter

I did the laid out of the text and images and set up styles in InDesign for an effecient, and consistent project.

METRA trainschedule

This table was made from scratch. Utilizing color, alignment, InDesigns' table features, and some creativity, the piece became an attractive, userfriendly schedule that could be folded down to 1/4 the size of letter paper.

KAIROS brochure

This low budget project was made to look classy whether it was ran through a black and white copier or sent to a profession printer.

Web Design

 
       
       
    Fluent in HTML and CSS. Undstands how to best optimize diffterent types of graphics and media for various bandwidths and browsers. Learned in the apspects of both accessibility and usability. Prefers to use Dreamweaver and ImageReady but started with Notepad. Able to incorporate and create Flash web content.    
     
   

EASY ACRES website

I utilized .pngs and layers to create an open, relaxing feeling to this simple site.

DMD website

I came up with the look and did most of the coding for this group project. I utilized mouse-over thumbnails for the the gallery and a pop up window for the email form (similiar to the one on this site).

YOUTH 2 YOUTH flash presentation

Although it was never intended to be a website, I still utilized streaming sound, video, and compressed graphics to create a vibrant yet light .swf that later could be a website. (note: the video and sound have not yet been compressed for the web and requires a high speed connection)

Multimedia Design

 
       
       
    Experienced in using sound, video, and basic actionscript to create Flash presentation and animation for web content and stand alone files.    
     
   

YOUTH 2 YOUTH presentation

It utilizes Flash 8's new alpha layerd video and has a Camp Song Mixing board both of which are streaming for a light SWF file.

DMD presentation

This was signed to be used under different circumstances including presenting to large groups. It includes an interactive video tour. It is currently being used by the college to pitch the DMD program.

Video Production

  
       
       
    Four plus years experience in video production. Educated in lighting, editing, and directing projects. Used different versions of Final Cut and iMovie as well as working with video in Flash.    
     
   

GET A MAC web vlog

Always interested in new forms of video production, I used iShowU to record my computer screen to create this 40 second video editorial about the Mac computer.

XAVIER short film

This project was a collaborative effort which I contributed most of the cinematography and editing and had input on the script and music.

YOUTH 2 YOUTH presentation

Y2Y is built on youth interacting. To accomplish this digitally I incorperated 14 different movies into this presentation of the program.

    Studied in lighting, placement, ect. as well as digital aspects like ISO, printing, and Photoshop. Improved upon skills by studying cinematography and 3d modeling.

    Enjoys writing and as studied advanced writing since highschool. Excell at essays and narratives, and is firmiliar with basic journalism writing.    
     
   

INTRA-GLOBAL website

I wrote all the copy for this professional detective agency's website.

COTC magalette

I did the majority of research and all the copywrighting for this brochure about the DMD program at the college.

VISIONS OF HUMANITY essay

3D Modeling

 
       
       
    Trained on Cinema 4D R9 and educated in the use of ligting, texturing, and using Hyper NURBS. Looks forward to using 3D models and animations to emblesh future video, web, and print projects.    
     
   

APPLE scene

I enjoy taking advantage of the complete freedom and control 3D modeling offers when lighting and creating effects. I created the bumb and texture maps in Photoshop from scratch.

COTC CAMPUS topographic map

I volunteered with a few other students for a special project to create a 3D scaled map of the campus that could later be used in virtual tours. It tested our problem solving skills and software knowlegde as we took a CAD drawing from Illustrator to Photoshop to a light weight 3D model.

COTC magalette

Although my partner was in charge of creating all the characters and the cover for this project, it demostrates how 3D models in some cases can enhance a design more effectively than photography or 2D art. The same goes for text and animated loops
