A Bight Business Invitation...

A little piece of paper can say a lot. Its main purpose is to invite someone to come and do business by providing contact information. And it should look inviting, and that is my goal. Whether you need a card that is bright and eye-catching or simple and professional, every element of your design will convey an appealing description of your company. For your conevience, I can get the cards printed and delivered to you to ensure their quality from start to finish. A custom tailored design on thick paper with a heavy gloss will make any card look like it cost a fortune. But I have found a printer that provides premium quality at a fraction of the price most local printers charge.

What You'll Get

A brief interview will take place to help me better understand your communication needs. There is no extra charge for full color designs. You receive three different designs. If needed, one round of revisions can be made free of charge. Up to seven cards with different contact information can be created free of charge. You will receive the original files as well as a high quality PDF file for getting more printed in the future.

Need them printed?

The printer I use offers a full array of options and a higher level of quality than most local prints at a fraction of the price. They utilizes offset Staccato halftone screening to produce images that are more crisp and photographic than traditional AM screening and far superior to inkjet and laser printers used by local printers. The paper is a sturdy 14pt. which is above the typical thickness for a business card. As a bonus, a layer of Aqueous coating comes standard, giving the cards a durable glossy finish similar to that of a photograph. Additional options can be purchased such as two sided cards, rounded corners, folds, or custom cuts. There is no additional charge for full bleed, full color designs.

Problem with Homemade Cards

In some cases that card is all customer has to judge a business by. If the business slogan says "reliable and professional" but the edges of the card are clearly ripped from flimsy perforated paper will that customer make the call? Templated designs are also easy for the average consumer to spot because the elements will usually not fit together well. Clique typefaces will be in odd places over vibrant but unassuming background and so on. But at least it caught the their eye right?

Problem with Traditional Cards

White cards with black text don't stand out very much on their own but can carrier a very professional look to them through subtle details such as proper use of type and a strong logo or photograph. When a card's design says little, the potential customer is more likely to notice the weight of the paper or how glossy the finish is. White cards that lack good design and nice paper can seam uncaring and uninviting, "This business is all business with no heart". Not too many customer want to enter a business relationship if they feel that they will not receive personal service.

Stationary

A Corperate Identity

A corperate identity usually starts with a logo and then the stationary enhances the look and feel of the company by using like colors, shapes, and typefaces. You'll recieve a Letter Head, Fax, Invoice, and Envelope and one additional design for any unique correspondence your company may have (such as a reciept or a second letter design). Designs will be taylored to fit your printing budget. You will recieve any typefaces, graphics, and files that were use to create your stationary along the PDF files used by the printer. You will also recieve a Microsoft Word or Apple Pages template to use with each of your designs. You will then have the option of printing your own stationary or having it mass produced by a commercial printer. To have Core7 print and deliver your stationary see Print Services.

Inform and Excite

Any well designed material will do more than just inform. A compelling design not only aids in the digestion of information, but invokes confidence or excitement in the reader thus accomplishing the true purpose for the brochure.

What You Can Provide

First a brief interview will be conducted to establish your design needs. The content and size (how many pages and the size of the paper) of the brochure will affect the price of the design. To save on costs, you can provide all the copy, photographs, logos, etc. that will be in the brochure because addtional charges will occur for those that have to be created or purchased. After some research and sketching on my part, I'll create your design. A rough draft may be requested by a certain date if the design is complex. You will recieve all the files used to create your brochure on a disk along with a PDF file for printing it. For a small additional charge I can have it mass printed and delivered to you to ensure the quality from start to finish. (see Print Service)

Add a Face

Advertisements are the face of a business. My goal is to ADD personality to information. An advertisement should not only grab a reader's attention but make a statement about the character of the business with a strong and simple message.

The Process

In order to reach a target audience, an advertisement should be pronounced and focused rather than generalized for the masses. I'll start by getting to know your company and its needs, and then researching the your target audience. Once a print medium is choosen (see list below), a design can be made that meets the goals and fits that medium. You will be given all the orginal files used to make your advertisement along with the final PDF used for printing. Core7 can have your files printed and delivered to you (see Print Services).

A Friendlier
Correspondence

In order to make sure people read the "news" part, the letter should be friendly in graphics, imagery, and typography. Interesting layouts and well formated type can make long articles more enjoyable. When a newsletter is an obvious template with elements that do not match visually, any reader will automatically have less interest. In which case it would be better if there was no graphics at all.

What You'll Get

Once you provided all the goals, and content for the first issue, I will stay in contact with you through out the design process. Good communication saves us both time and money by ensuring the end results fits your needs. You will recieve a rough draft to make comments on and a round of revisions can still be made after the design is finished. You will recieve all the orginal Adobe InDesign and Photoshop files used to create your newsletter along a PDF file for printing and an compressed PDF for publishing on the web. You can then choose to have Core7 print and even mail your newsletters out (see Print Services) or take your files to your printer.

Make Your Own

After the first letter is done a template will be made of your design so your company can then produces the letter by pasting in new articles and photos using Microsoft Word or Apple Pages. Core7 will even train your employees on how to use the template. Or I can make additional issues with layouts that better fit each one's content at a reduced charge.

The right photo for the job

Photographs can greatly enhance a design and bring information to life. Here are two options for including photographs in materials:

1. Royalty Free Photos The most professional and effective route for the majority of designs is purchasing royalty free photos online. This will speed up the design process because these images usually need little editing. Draft versions of the photos are used, thus requiring no commitment until the material is ready to printed. The photos usually cost between $5 - $20.
2. You Shot, I 'll editThe most inexpensive option is to provide your own photos. However ametuer photos can detract from the overall appearance of the material and thus need to be edited and used sparingly.
*Add this time Core7 is not providing photography services (taking new photographs on location).
