Illustrator

I have created logos, cartoon charters, 3D effects, and more. In most cases I choose it over Photoshop for it's precise control and because I'm so familiar with its capabilities.

InDesign

I am familiar with the time-saving features of tables, styles, swatches, master pages, underlying grids, and creating PDFs for press.

Photoshop

I mostly use Photoshop for photo editing and adding effects to illustration.

    Knowledgeable with Flash 8 and Dreamweaver. Utilizes the Flash Video Encoder. Basic understanding of Flash Paper and Contribute. Prefers Illustrator and ImageReady over Freehand and Fireworks.    
     
   

Flash 8

I am familiar with basic ActionScript, creating/optimizing animations. I am capable of streaming movies, sounds, images, and text for easy SWF editing. I love how flash allows music, animaiton, and especially video to be incorporated into a project and still have it small enough for the web. I look forward to diving even deeper into ActionScript to make even more use it.

Dreamweaver

I understand website management, behaviors, layers, and style sheets. I utilizes time saving tools such as "Find and Replace" and the "Put" command for up loading an entire site. EASY ACREAS is an example of a site that utilizes layers and PNGs to create an spcious, inviting site.

    Familiar with color correcting, exporting, capturing, layering, and editing video and sound.    
     
   

YOUTH TO YOUTH presentation

All of the video used in this piece was brightened in Final Cut to give the color energetic youthful quaility. I discovered how to create green screen video and export an alpha layer with this project.

GET A MAC web vlog

This short editorial combines video screen captures from iShowU with live video and narration. It was edited together in Final Cut.

CREATIVITY artistic

This short piece starts with a barrage of multi-layered sound and video that has been speed up and overlayed with various blending modes.

    Familiar with booleans, splines, Hyper NURBS, animation, lighting, basic texture maps and effects, and rendering.    
     
   

APPLE model

I created all the textures from scratch and created the apple from a a lathed spline. I used lighting to portray the different mood of each apple.

BRIDGE animation

 I used my cinematography skills to tell a highly metaphoric story in the first person about crossing a rope bridge. The bridge planks were created using instances so that each is slightly rotated allowing for faster rendering times.

    Experienced in using Auto CAD 2004 and using CAD drawings in Illustrator. Tutored another student in Auto CAD. Understands 2D draws but not 3d.    
     
   

COLLEGE CAMPUS topographic map

A small group of us volunteered for a special project: to create a 3D scaled map of the campus that could later be used in virtual tours. It tested our problem solving skills and software knowlegde as we took a CAD drawing from Illustrator to Photoshop to a light weight 3D model. We did NOT create the CAD drawing however.

    Experienced with copressing sound files with iTunes. Creates sound effects and music track with Garage Band 2. Fluent with iMovie HD and iDVD.    
     
   

iMovie

FOREST FOR THE TREES is the only movie showing in my gallery that was completely editited in iMovie. I have made several movies with software and am very familiar with it's capabilities.

Y2Y flash presentation

All of the sounds used on the mixing board in this flash document were created and edited in GarageBand and compressed in iTunes.

    Has created projects with Pages and Keynote including using Keynote to create Flash documents for the web. Makes frequent use of Art Director's Tool Kit, OmniGraffle, OmniOutliner along with various other Mac utilities.
